What happens to my GC account after I leave Goshen College?

Students who leave Goshen College (either due to graduating or withdrawing, can continue to use their GC computer and email account for 6 months following the date of the last class taken at GC. During this time it is recommended that you forward your GC email address to personal email account.  You should also obtain copies of the contents of your M: drive, as well as any email messages that you will want to keep.  See the Checklist for Graduating and Departing Students for instructions.  After 6 months, your account and email will be shut down, any email messages still stored on the mail server, and any files still stored on the M: drive will be deleted.

Accounts of employees who leave employment with Goshen College typically will shut down immediately after your last day of employment.  Special arrangements to extend account access for a short period of time can be made, with the combined approval of your supervisor and the Director of Human Resources. You will need to make arrangements with the ITS department to grant access to your email account to someone else in your department.  Any files in the M:\My Documents folder that your department needs to retain should be copied into a sub-folder in your M:\MyDepartment folder.
