If you would like to upgrade your computer to OS X Mavericks, but are unsure of how to do this, then follow these instructions.

**NOTE: this process takes a period of time when you won't need to use your computer, it is recommended to do this at the end of the day as you are leaving. **

1. Open Applications > Utilities > Managed Software Update.

2. It will go through a period of checking if you have any updates for current software installed available. After that is done, click on Optional Software.

3. Scroll down the list to find OS X Mavericks, and check the box next it it.

4. Click Update Software list.

5. It will then download and repair OS X Mavericks for installation. Once that is done click Update now, and then Logoff and Update.

6. After approximately 1 hour, and a few computer reboots, you should have OS X Mavericks installed and you are ready to use it.
