Organizing your Bookmarks into folders

  • Click on the Chrome Menu button    
  • Click on Bookmarks

  • Click on Bookmark Manager

  • In the folder list on the left, right-click the folder called “Other Bookmarks” and select Add folder

  • Give the folder a name

 

Moving existing bookmarks into folders

If you have already created bookmarks and want to file them into folders that you’ve created, do the following:

  • Click on the Chrome Menu button  

  • Click on Bookmarks

  • Click on Bookmark Manager

  • Find one of the bookmarks that you wish to file into a folder, then click and drag it onto the folder in which you want to file it.

Using the Bookmarks Toolbar

Browsers have a bookmark toolbar that is located under the address bar. This is a perfect location to place bookmarks that you most often visit.

Step 1 - Enabling the Bookmarks Toolbar
  • Click on the Chrome Menu button  

  • Click on Bookmarks

  • Click on Show Bookmarks Bar

Step 2 - Placing bookmarks in the Bookmark Toolbar
  • While on the web page that you wish to bookmark, click the Star  that is in the address bar.

  • The Folder drop-down list, choose Bookmarks Bar, and then click on Done.

Folders in the Bookmark Toolbar

If you find that you need to organize the bookmarks that you have placed in the Bookmark Menu Bar, you can create a folder in the Bookmarks Menu Bar, and in that folder place bookmarks.

  • Right-click on the Bookmark Menu Bar and choose Add Folder.

  • Give the folder a name.

  • Click OK.

  • You can now file bookmarks into this folder. While on the web page that you wish to bookmark, click the Star  that is in the address bar.

    • Click on the Folder drop-down list, and choose the folder that is listed below the Bookmarks Bar.

    • Click on Done.
