Clearing Paper Jams

Clearing a paper jam can be a delicate process. Not knowing how to properly clear a paper jam can cause possible damage to the printer. When damage occurs, your department may be billed for the repair of the equipment.

What to do if you encounter a paper jam

If you are unable to easily pull the paper out of the jammed area, please do not attempt to do anything further.
Call the Help Desk immediately at 574-535-7700 and a Technician will come over and take care of the jam.
If you reach the Help Desk after hours, please leave a message as to which printer has the jam.
Until the jam is fixed, please print to another printer on campus. If you print to the printer called "Campus-Copier", you can then go to any MFP on campus and log in with your GC username and password to retrieve your print job.
