iPad Disabled

Effective January 1, 2020, anyone who needs to factory reset their iPad, or receives a message on the iPad that says, "iPad Disabled. Connect to iTunes,"  will need to get assistance from the Help Desk to have a new profile applied to their GC iPad before they can set it back up. 

Process: 

  1. Bring your iPad to the Help Desk (basement of the Union building, in the Schertz Computer Center). Please allow about 30 minutes for the following. 
  2. ITS staff will apply the new profile to your iPad. 
  3. Reset your iPad to factory defaults by connecting your iPad to a computer, then hold down both the power button and the home button until the iTunes logo and cable appears. Then, select the option to Restore iPad, then select the option to Restore And Update. Note, ITS Staff can assist with this process at the Help Desk, if needed. 
  4. Set your iPad back up.
