Most personal computers will prompt for a username and password when first logging on to GC wifi or connecting by ethernet. Logging in will register your device, and you won't need to go through this form.
However, if you have anything like a gaming console (Xbox, Playstation, etc), Smart Tv, personal printers, Chromecast, Amazon Fire Stick, or other such device, you'll need to register the device on our network. When in doubt, it's better to register. Use the instructions below.
If you've tried registering a device and it doesn't work, simply contact the ITS Helpdesk for support.
Getting a password for pre-existing registered devices
If you already have a device registered, starting Fall Semester 2021 you are going to have to obtain a password for your devices and switch the devices to the network "GCPersonal" instead of "gclegacy". To get this password:
1.) In your internet browser, go to netreg.goshen.edu and sign in with your username and password.
2) Click Manage Devices to see your pre-registered devices.
3) Click on the device you need to get a password for, then hit "edit" to pull up this screen:

4) Click "Update MAC" without making any changes to the device.
It will pull up a screen like this with your password. Write it down, and type it into the password field when you sign in to GCPersonal.

Note that this password will only work for the registered device. If you have multiple devices that need WiFi passwords, you will have to register them separately and get unique passwords for each of them.
Be sure to write them down: you will not be able to look up a password if you forget it. If you have forgotten or lost your password, you will have to go back to NetReg and select "generate a new password" to get a new one; we will not be able to look up what the previous password is, and NetReg will not display it again after it has been assigned the first time.

4.) The device name should be something like username device type. You'll need to fill out the form for each MAC address your device has. Leave AirGroup selected.

*Optional: If you want other people to be able to use/access the device, you'll need to add their usernames to the Shared with section. It searches usernames automatically, but it's not very fast. This is not necessary for registering the device, and can be changed later.
You will be given a password for each new device you register.
